Drunk Doctor abandons woman in labor to go have sex with another patient

A doctor has lost his license to practice medicine after being drunk on the job and abandoning a woman in labor to have sex with a hospital patient, according to the New Mexico Medical Board.

Dr. Christopher Driskill, an OB-GYN, kept a personal stash of liquor hidden in his office.

It is also alleged that the 42-year-old doctor, who is married and a father of four children, prescribed medication to a sexual partner. He was drunk while writing lewd notes in medical records.

The Medical Board said that the doctor “poses a clear and immediate danger to the public.” Driskill can challenge his suspension at any time, but so far, he has chosen not to.

Driskill was fired by Premier Ob/Gyn of Hobbs, where he maintained his practice.
